I'm sure I read something about switching on and off dmr id to stop pirate use of the id...
I cannot find any info about this now did I imagine it...

I don't know where you are looking to switch off DMR ID, but there are look up sites so they will all ways be accessible

There is a site to sign into and you can enable or disable your dmr id..

But that's not what the OP was asking about, that's just Brandmeister password protection for the likes of Pi-star

G6YRK - That is the only security that you can use on the system because you can not turn on/off your DMR ID, you can protect the ID with the BM info so others can not pirate your ID, but if you removed or lets say turn off your DMR ID you would not be allowed to use the system as BM would not let you through the system...
