 Current Projects.
First of all, well done Ian!Looking forward to using this new part of the forum. I am aware of the winter projects thread under GD,but what are peeps actually working on at the moment. I am trying to finish off a few nearly completed projects,a simple atu that needs boxing properly and an swr/wattmeter in the same condition.I also have a 3 digit counter that is having 2 more digits adding. Then I plan on building an MKARS80 when they are back in stock.

 Re: Current Projects.
A few pics of projects I have on the go at various stages of completion. 1- Brendon tx/rx started on 80m then on 20m now on 40m. 2- GQRP club 40m Sudden rx. 3- qrp atu with led swr. 4- stockton bi-directional swr/wattmeter and 5 digit frequency counter(MHz digits not yet connected.

 Re: Current Projects.
Hi Jes, I love the look of the dinky Sudden rx, very nice indeed. Somewhere in the shack I have a few items that were built some years back. I need to strip the covers back and take some shots.
You know what I'd really like for one of my next projects? a nice informative LCD display and I'm hoping someone with Picaxe experience will pop up and give us some basic guidance.
Keep up the good work and HNY!

 Re: Current Projects.
Found a nice little,3 band, regenerative rx circuit. No IC`s,no trimmers to adjust, just solder together and it should work.20,30 and 40m on a 3 position switch.I had most bits in,just needed 4 transistors that cost 39p each from maplins.Amazingly it worked on the first test, but it`ll be interesting to get the frequency counter on it to see where its band edges are and perhaps adjust the coils by a turn or two if needed. Its very sensitive and needs a steady hand to tune, but its fun to play with.Mounted it in a grotty old tobacco tin. Nice project for a novice like me,plus I now have an rx for 30m.

 Re: Current Projects.
I picked a 40m one of those up at the GQRP convention.Good little receiver and easy enough to swap bands with a few spare caps and coils.

Have you a circuit diagram, or a link to where it can be found? Several members might like to have a go at that one, I know I shall. Don't belittle the 'grotty old tobacco tin' - some of those old tins are highly collectable. You could find you have destroyed a valuable antique tin there

 Re: Current Projects.
Thanks Jes, will rummage the bits box and see what I've got in there.
