Guys anyone here used one of those so239 to Nmo adapters before. ? Have a mobile antenna here that uses an nmo type base and the hatchmount is the so239 type.

Question is are they reliable enough and do they fit over a standard so239 and still allow enough room for the antenna itself to fit on ?

I have seen mobile mounts so239 type advertised as longer type, not sure what the purpose is of them unless it's exactly the above. ?
